Second Saturdays • 11:00am-1:00pm (10:30am for those loading the bus)
Fourth Ave. UMC (Fourth and St. Catherine)
Our Mobile Resource Center provides resources to guests at Fourth Avenue UMC’s Open Door Community Ministry. We load up the St Paul bus and distribute new underwear, socks, and t-shirts, gently-used shoes and clothing, hygiene items, and bottled water to those in need. So far, we have served approximately 85-100 people at each event.
WE NEED YOU! We need at least 14 volunteers at each Mobile Resource Center for it to run as smoothly as possible.
Volunteers will help with set-up and tear-down, as well as distributing our resources to Open Door’s guests. We also need a few volunteers to help load and unload the bus before and after the event.

Based on our first few events, we’ve determined some the items that were popular or most needed. The following items can be dropped off in the Resource Center bins in the Family Life Center lobby or the elevator lobby in the main building.
To make your donation shopping a little easier, you can purchase from our wish lists, which will ship the items directly to the church:
