On Thursday, April 18, 2019  the SPAMs will have lunch at The Café and then have a tour of The Thrive Center. The Thrive Center is a national center for health care providers and for seniors to try technology products and services that are specifically designed to improve quality of care and quality of life for seniors. It was established in late 2017 to spotlight innovation and promote healthy aging.  The Thrive Center Inc. is a nonprofit 501 (C)(3) technology innovation, and educational center designed to enhance the quality of life for those aged
50+.  The facility features interactive technology exhibits, event spaces and conference rooms and is a place for tech companies, senior care providers, academic researchers and the public to collaborate and learn from each other, says Sheri Rose, the center’s CEO and executive director.
Located in the heart of NULU in downtown Louisville, KY, the center occupies 7,500 square foot space that features innovative technology, specialized programming to enhance elder wellness and a series of educational programs for the community. Aging well is the ultimate goal!
Our friends at The Café have provided us sandwiches, salad and fruit for our monthly Lunch and Learn get-togethers for a long time, but this month we decided to head over there for a change to sample all their other scrumptious offerings. The Strata and Italian Cream Cake are personal favorites! Please do join us for lunch at The Café. Lunch is at noon and the tour is set for 2:00 pm. You may sign up for the van or drive yourself. If you choose not to have lunch
you may meet us at The Thrive Center, located at 204 East Market (in the old Dulworth Office Furniture building). There is ample parking in the lot at the rear.
Please sign up at the Information Desk, no later than Monday, April 15 or call the office at (502) 459-1595.

We will continue to share resources on topics of concern to folks over 50.  If you are 50 or older, you might be interested in this new website designed for, in their words,  “a generation that refuses to be defined by age or marginalized by other people’s ideas of what it means to be 50 or 60 or 70.”

If you have any questions about the St. Paul Seniors Small Group, contact Cody Nygard, Director of Discipleship and Connection, at or 502-459-1595.
