Senior ADULTs

We are a vital group of seniors who meet once a month for service, fellowship, and outreach. Our activities alternate between trips, which usually include a meal, and catered lunches at church with entertainment or lectures. Lunch activities are held in The Common Cup and, if the presenter desires, the Youth Center. Lunch is at noon and our guest presenter speaks at 1:00pm. Trip departure times vary depending on the location. We do not meet in December. January and February are reserved for service projects.

Hello from the SPAMS (St. Paul Adult Ministry for Seniors). We hope you are staying well during these difficult times. In March 2020, just when the SPAMS were ready to kick off their new year of activities, Covid-19 erupted and put a halt to all our plans. Lunches and get-togethers were canceled and all the places we had planned to visit were closed. We had hoped that we would be able to resume our schedule come fall but, sadly, we have made the difficult decision, out of an abundance of caution, to suspend our program for the remainder of 2020.

We will continue to share resources on topics of concern to folks over 50.  If you are 50 or older, you might be interested in this new website designed for, in their words, “a generation that refuses to be defined by age or marginalized by other people’s ideas of what it means to be 50 or 60 or 70.”

If you have any questions about the SPAMS, call the church office at 502-459-1595.
