Thanksgiving Boxes

Thanksgiving Boxes

St. Paul will again provide Thanksgiving Boxes to the families of Waller-Williams students!

The Waller-Williams Environmental School is a JCPS school for students with severe emotional or behavioral issues. For the last few years, St. Paul has partnered with Waller-Williams to provide Thanksgiving boxes to the families of their students. Each box contains all the items for a Thanksgiving meal, except for the turkey, which is provided by another partner.

Last year, St. Paul delivered around 100 Thanksgiving boxes to the Waller-Williams school. This year, Waller-Williams has 93 students, and St. Paul will again provide Thanksgiving boxes to these students’ families.

Here’s how you can help!

1. Donate a Food Item!

  • Visit one of the Thanksgiving Box bulletin boards, available in the gym and near McAdams Social Hall
  • Select a food item that you would like to donate (e.g., “10 cans of green beans” or “10 boxes of cake mix”).
  • Bring those items to the church no later than Sunday, October 19. You may also bring them to the service on October 19, as our focus is Service Sunday.

2. Help Pack the Boxes – On Sunday, October 26, we are having our Homecoming Sunday with ONE service in the sanctuary at 10am. After the service, we will have several service opportunities, one of which will be packing the Thanksgiving boxes – always a fun event! So head down to McAdams Social Hall after worship that day and build a box!

Join us in McAdams Hall during the 10:00-11:00am hour to help pack the Thanksgiving boxes!

Brighten the Thanksgiving holiday for the families of Waller-Williams students!
