United Methodist Mountain Mission

The United Methodist Mountain Mission truck will be here in March. 2026

Please have all donations delivered to St. Paul no later than Monday, March 23 at 2:00pm. UMMM accepts donations of clothing and household items. 

Current urgent needs include:

  • Men’s, Women’s, & Children’s: Winter Coats, winter shoes, belts
  • Men’s Shoes (in general)
  • Men’s Summer Clothes
  • Pots & Pans
  • Uniforms & Scrubs
  • Whatnots (bric-a-brac, knickknack, collectibles, things that make a home a ‘home’)
  • Socks and Underwear (Children’s, Men’s and Women’s)
  • Purses
  • Prom Dresses (Prom will take place in April/May)
  • Yarn and Quilt Pieces
  • Caps, Gloves, Scarves

The United Methodist Mountain Mission has been serving eastern Kentucky since 1943. Its eight Opportunity Stores that “provide gently used clothing and household items at a reasonable price” for those in the areas of Barbourville, Irvine, Harlan, Hazard, Jackson, Pineville, West Liberty, and Burkesville.

A Mountain Mission truck arrives at St. Paul several times per year to pick donated clothing, household items, furniture, and more to stock their Opportunity stores.
