Serve of Sound and Silence
Wednesday, March 22, 5:30pm | Chapel
The Service of Sound and Silence is a time of healing, prayer, music, and tranquility. Holy Communion is also offered.
The next Service of Sound and Silence on Wednesday, March 22 will include a special musical offering of Just as I Am from Kevin Horton and Michael Snelling. All are invited to this Lenten worship time Holy Communion in the Chapel, 5:30-6:10pm.
St. John of the Cross, a 16th century mystic, said,
“God’s first language is silence.”
This service is meant to be a time spent in God’s presence,
listening with the “ear of your heart” for God’s message of
love to you.
There will be time for quiet reflection,
song, silence, scripture, and prayer.
We hope it will be a spiritually nourishing time for you
in the midst of all life’s noise, demands and busyness.
“What we plant in the soil of contemplation we shall reap
in the harvest of action.”
