Portland Promise Center Fundraising Drive
April 1-30, 2021
During the month of April, we will have a fundraising drive for Portland Promise Center to help them fund the important work they do for the Portland neighborhood.
Donations can be made online at our secure Giving page (select Portland Promise Center under Funds), or you can mail a check to the church (please designate for Portland Promise Center).
The Portland Promise Center is a thriving faith-based community development center in the heart of Louisville’s Portland neighborhood. For over 60 years, they have provided families and kids in this economically depressed area with the resources they need to anchor their lives to a firm foundation of faith and to build futures filled with hope.
Due to Covid-19, PPC has shifted much of its focus to offering NTI programs for local students. Even as school begin to open to some in-person learning, PPC will continue offering NTI. Michael Matala, Executive Director of PPC, stated:
“We are going to continue to offer a more robust NTI program through the school year. Because children are going in-person a few days a week, we are going to open registration to other children to fill the gaps of those going in-person. This will allow us to serve more children, and require more resources from the Center. Let me again say thank you so much for supporting us. We value our partnership with you all more than I can put into words.”
Your donations can help in the following ways:
$25 provides program support for one Child or Youth for one week.
$50 provides classroom materials and supplies for a child throughout the year.
$110 provides program support for one Child or Youth for one month.
$300 provides a week of Summer Camp for one Child or Youth
