38th Louisville Boar’s Head & Yule Log Festival

St. Paul United Methodist Church offers five performances of the long-running Louisville Boar’s Head and Yule Log Festival on December 29, 30 and 31, 2017. This annual holiday event is among a handful of Boar’s Head and Yule Log Festivals performed in the United States today.

2017 marks the 38th season of the Louisville Boar’s Head and Yule Log Festival. On December 29 and 30, performances will start at 5:00pm and 8:00pm, and on December 31, 2017, the performance will start at 6:30pm. All performances are held in the Sanctuary of St. Paul United Methodist Church, which is on the corner of Bardstown Rd. and Douglass Blvd.

The Louisville Boar’s Head and Yule Log Festival is a unique musical and theatrical experience depicting hope and peace coming into the world. Based on the Boar’s Head festivals of medieval times that told the triumph of good over evil, the Festival celebrates the miracle of Christmas through music, dining, drama, and dance. Professional musicians and performers from across the region perform with volunteers in creating this special event.
