Harry Pickens: A Concert for Peace

Harry Pickens, acclaimed pianist presents a concert for peace at St. Paul Church on Sunday, November 12 at 7:30pm. This concert is accompanied by a candlelit labyrinth walk. Come enjoy the inspiring music and peaceful music from your seat or as you walk the labyrinth. A freewill donation for Interfaith Paths to Peace will be received. All are welcome.

About Harry
Harry Pickens is an American jazz pianist. He began his career with the Blue Note Records group Out of the Blue before releasing several albums as leader. He has worked extensively with Johnny Griffin, Michael Tracy and Jamey Aebersold.[1]

Pickens has collaborated with: John AbercrombieDizzy Gillespie, Benny GolsonJames Moody, Lewis Nash, Jack Petersen, Steve Turre, Kenny Washington, Bobby Watson, Sharrie Williams, Phil Woods, along with others.

This concert will follow the final session of the Your Neighbor’s Religion series, co-hosted by Interfaith Paths to Peace and St. Paul Church. The November 12 of Your Neighbor’s Religion will cover the Islamic faith and by led by Haleh Karimi of Interfaith Paths to Peace. A vegetarian reception will take place between close of Your Neighbor’s Religion and the start of the Harry Pickens Concert. 


Advent Service

Celebrate the hope of Advent with us as we usher in the season together! Join us for Christmas carol sing along, drama, and choral music presented by St. Paul Children’s and Youth Choirs. We will prepare our hearts to make room for Christ in the midst of the chaos of our daily lives.


Advent Labyrinth Walk & Concert

In the season of Advent the labyrinth can be a metaphor for the journey we make in our hearts to prepare for the birth of Christ and honor the willingness of Mary and Joseph to be instruments of God’s gift of Love. Harry Pickens’ peaceful and inspirational music assists us in bringing our prayerful attention to this holy season. Come with openness to whatever God may have to give you for a labyrinth walk and concert on Sunday, December 10 at 7:00pm in the Gym. The labyrinth will be open early between 4:30-6:30pm.

You are welcome to bring friends. A freewill donation for KRM will be collected.
